Our organization is committed to bringing professional basketball to Okinawa. Basketball is an increasingly important part of modern Okinawan culture. Our goal in bringing professional basketball to Okinawa is to develop this aspect of our culture to the extent that it transcends the game and becomes a medium through which we can make a valuable contribution to our society. Not only will we spread Okinawan basketball throughout Japan via intraleague competition, but we also plan to arrange matches against teams from neighboring countries to extend our brand of basketball to the world. Currently, organized basketball ends at the college/club team level in Okinawa. By introducing a professional team at the highest level, basketball will be prominently placed in the public eye. In doing so, we will be a source of inspiration to the community, especially the younger generation, and contribute to the establishment of a stronger future.

Our professional basketball games will offer much more than the basketball itself. The total entertainment package will include pregame and halftime shows featuring upcoming and established local talent which will appeal to the entire family and galvanize the broader community.

Just as Okinawa’s famous water sports bring in large numbers of tourists during the summer, professional basketball will provide a new reason to visit during the winter. Offering an exciting source of entertainment during the slower winter months will bolster the local economy.

The U.S. and Okinawa share a strong love of basketball. Building on this common bond, we will further enhance the U.S.-Okinawa relationship by attracting American fans to attand regular season games and engaging U.S. base teams in exhibition matches.

Because basketball is a versatile sport that can take on many forms, it can be enjoyed by many. We will implement a variety of basketball programs - youth basketball, senior citizen basketball, wheelchair basketball, and deaf basketball - to spread to the entire community the rewarding experience of interacting with others through basketball.
