Oita Games

As we move closer to the Playoffs we start to focus on doing all of the little things right. We work on ensuring the quality of play is maximized and as everyone knows it can be just one little slip and you can be out of the playoffs very fast. We work hard to ensure we are fully focused and prepared going into the playoffs.

We used our games this past weekend against Oita to work on those little things. In a weekend that we did not take our All-Star Forward Jeff Newton it was a time for some of the bench players to step up and show that we are an all round team and that we can play like one. We got some very good quality minutes from everyone on the team.

We won Saturdays game 82 - 71. We started out a little sluggish and did not play Kings Basketball in the first half which saw us down 27 - 29 at the half.
We came out in the 3rd period and showed our style of basketball and were able to open a nice lead going into the 4th.

Sunday we showed our style of Basketball from the beginning as we jumped out to a 47 - 26 halftime lead. We maintained that lead for the remainder of the game which saw us finish off our season series with Oita in a 94 - 72 win and a 8 - 0 season sweep. A great game for TK (Aoki) who was playing against his former team. TK poured in 18 points and was the leading scorer for our team and was the leader on both Offense and Defense. Great play from TK who is our Veteran leader. TK has that leadership that every successful team needs to be a winner.

Next up is the Shiga Lakestars who come to town this weekend. Look for us to play at even more higher level in quality of play.

Thanks for the great fan support we have had all season! Keep up your continued support of Kings Basketball. WE NEED ALL OF THE SUPPORT OF OKINAWA TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TEAM!!!
