Two wins vs. Osaka
Posted on December 16, 2008 7:01 PMIt was another great weekend in Kings Basketball as we took down the three time defending BJ League Champs Osaka Evessa.
Both games were very competitive and we played very good team basketball especially in the victory on Sunday.
Through all of the great team play we had one of our reserves step and play big minutes and that was Yosuke Sugawara. He ran the PG for crucial parts of both victories. He hit big free throws down the stretch and controlled the ball as Osaka went into a foul game late in both games.
We played with a lot of ailments and we played like a team and that is why we got the victories.
The regulars(Jeff, Mac, Chris, Shige and Naoto) did an excellent job in moving the ball on offense and by playing good team defense by rotating and rebounding the ball very well.
TK(Taketo Aoki) played big minutes as well coming off the bench and did not hesitate on his three's and drilled them each time he got the ball.
Thanks to the great fan support in Gushikawa! We played in a smaler gym than usual but it was packed to the max which made the atmosphere feel like a NCAA matchup.
Thanks to all,
Coach
