Two wins in Takamatsu

Sorry for the delay in getting back on the blogosphere but it has been a short and busy week for me and the Team.

We had two exciting games in Takamatsu where we won each game by one point and the Saturday game went to overtime after Shige Kinjo hit a three point shot with just over a minute to go to put us in overtime and with some outstanding play by our guards we were able to pull out the one point victory. Naoto Takushi finished the game with an astonishing 8 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assist and 10 steals. That is the closest to a qaudruple double that I have ever seen in my life and believe me I have seen alot of basketball in my days.
The final score was 88 - 87.

The second game on Sunday saw us play with the lead most of the game up until the 4th period where it became a see-saw battle and we were trailing 72 - 71 with 24.3 seconds to play.
Jeff Newton was fouled going to the basket with 13.8 left on the game clock and iced the game by knocking down two big free throws. Takamatsu came down and missed a shot and fouled us with 3.7 to go and were able to seal the victory with two more free throws to make it 75 - 72 and Takamatsu threw up a desperation three and had a put back at the buzzer by Gordon James to make the final score 75 - 74.

We are 8 - 0. Great start!

We travel to Shiga this weekend to take on the Lakestars, an expansion team in the BJ League this season.

Keep up the great fan support!

Thanks
