Background

TEAM
16 professional basketball teams divided into 2 conferences, 9 teams in the Western Conference and 7 teams in the Eastern Conference. Western Conf. includes Kyoto, Shiga, Osaka, Shimane, Takamatsu, Fukuoka, Oita, Miyazaki and Okinawa. Eastern Conf. includes Akita, Sendai, Niigata, Toyama, Saitama, Tokyo, and Hamamatsu In the 2011-2012 season, there will be 4 expansion teams to join the league,

PLAYERS
Each team can contract with up to 15 players and there is the limit on the number of foreign players to 5 players in the roaster. There are more than hands full of ex-NBA players and the NCAA Final Four stars in the bj League

REGULAR SEASON
During the regular season (2010-2011), each team plays 52 games in total (26games home/away). bj-league regular season starts on October 2, 2010 and ends on April 24, 2011.

PLAYOFFS
The Playoffs format is as listed below. The first round and the conference semi-final will be the best of 3 series. The Conference Final will be one game Do-Or-die as same as the Final Game
